Biscuit the Dog

Our very own, talented DT member Nicola Jolliffe has been busy knitting one of our favourite dogs - Biscuit, from the Popcorn the Bear range. We asked her to tell us a bit about her project...

"Having been keen on knitting and crochet for years, the renewed interest in these has been tickling my taste buds for a while. So what could be better to make than Biscuit the Dog from the Popcorn range of knitting kits. I’ve had this kit for a while and have only just got around to starting it. I bought it as a present for my daughter, as she had designs on knitting it, but then decided it would be better if she watched me make it. It does need a degree of concentration as you must add stitches or decrease stitches on most rows! But its only plain garter stitch so it’s the stitch most people learn first!

So far I have made the head; he’s going to be quite big! I'm hoping to have finished by next week, and I'll be sure to send CC a picture of the finished dog, so keep checking back!"

We think he's gorgeous - well done Nicola!!

  • How gorgeous! Our family dog was a golden cocker spaniel called Biscuit - this reminds me completely of him. Might have to get one myself to knit in the future. Thanks for sharing.
