Humphrey mania has now hit the craft world in a big way and I'm so happy with the response we've had from you all. We've seen so many amazing cards that it's been really overwhelming. One of these cards has been made by Crafter's Companion forum member and guest designer Karen and I'm sharing it with you now, along with step-by-step instructions so you too can re-create it. Have fun making it!
- 3 A4 sheets Centura Pearlescent cardstock
- 2 A4 printed sheets backing paper from free download
- Topper, sentiments, and embellishments from free download
- Loveheart gems
- 3D glue
- A Plate and Scallop edging scissors
- Large Scalloped Squares Nesties
- Gullotine/paper trimmer
Trim off the long edge of two peices of your cardstock so it is exactly 8” in width. Now trim one piece of cardstock so it measures 8”-square. Save your off-cut – you will need it later.
Take your third sheet of Centura Pearlescent cardstock, and using your largest scalloped square nestie, cut out the shape, and stick to your card front.
Now trim your second sheet of backing paper to measure 6”-square and stick to your pearlescent nestie shaped card.
Take your off-cut of pearlescent cardstock you saved earlier, and matt your topper onto it. Trim to size. Now cut out your decoupage element – curve slightly and adhere onto the topper. Set aside to dry.
Take a small plate and draw a semi circle that is 3” deep, and 7 1/4” at it’s longest (along the straight edge of the card). Cut out the semi circle part with your scallop edging scissors.
Stick this to the bottom sheet of backing paper – along the top edge.
Add your topper, your loveheart embellishments (printed from the download sheet) and your sentiment bars to your card.
Add your ribbon across the top – line the top edge of your ribbon up with the top edge of your semi circle. Use your bow maker on the Ultimate Pro if you have it. Add your loveheart gems to your bow to finish off the front of your card. Allow everything to dry.
