Well, I have this weekend off - little bit of a luxury I'm not used to! So Simin took him self off for a round on the golf course with his mates so I thought I'd do a bit of Fusioning and make an early start on some mothers day presents!
Then I realised I'd left all of my paints and fusion bits and pieces in a box in the warehouse after I brought them back from a demo (d'oh!) but I wasn't going to be deterred... I decided to get the Paint Fusion CD Rom out instead and see what I could do with that!
I wanted to make a present that would be useful, so I thought I'd fusion a box. So I picked this one from the Darice Paper Mâché selection we've got on the website.
To save a bit of time (and because I didn't have my full set of gear to hand) I started off by painting the edges of the paper mache box with watered down emulsion paint
Then I inked the edges with the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Then I printed off some backing papers from the Paint Fusion CD Rom inked the edges again, then I cut them to size and attached them to the box
Then I printed one of the decoupage elements from the Paint Fusion CD Rom and cut everything out, built it up with the Collall 3D Glue Gel and now it's just sitting on the living room table staring lovingly back at me, just drying!
I do miss my painting mind - need to get my paints retrieved from the warehouse at the earliest opportunity and get back into it! I've got shows in Germany this month with the paint fusion products again so I'm looking forward to a personal training session with Sheena on Monday afternoon!
Will let you know how I get on! Sara xx
