Well, after an uber busy week, I decided to put my feet up today and have a relaxy one! So i decided to get my bits and pieces out and make a few samples for the shows coming up next week!
First and foremost, im SOOOOOO excited about the A-May-Zing launch! I had breakfast with Nigel yesterday morning and we planned through all do the demonstrations etc, and it just got me in the crafty mood for today!
As I keep telling you all... big is back, so i've gone 8x8 for the cards i've done today. Nigel's CD is titled 'All Kinds of everything A-may-zing' so it has a little bit of something for all occasions on there (except of course Christmas, but watch this space!).
I was in a wedding mood because one of my friends from Uni got married yesterday, so I went with the wedding theme from the CD...
I just did a bit of decoupage for the cake, and then chose a couple of matching backing papers from the CD and one of the sentiments sheets. I used a standard card blank (because I wanted a nice fancy edge!) and matted and layered with my wonderful Core'dinations and went with the So Mod pack as it feels really summery! The flowers are just from my random flower drawer, and the leaf die is one of the Sizzix ones.
Then I just had to have my Humphrey new CD out to play...! It's GORGEOUS!! I probably shouldn't be telling you this yet, but you know what i'm like at letting the cat out of the bag! We've got an exciting new CD launching in our Humphrey's Corner collection next weekend. The CD is fab, and it's basically a year of crafting with Humphrey.
This image i've chosen here is from October and I just love it because I think little Humphrey looks the picture of innocence!
Leann and I have drawn straws for the launch shows, and she won (pfff!) so im pretty gutted, but I thought i'd help her out with some of the demo's so i've prepped this for her to do on the show too. The main image and accessories are from the new CD, and the papers and insert are from the Humphrey's Allsorts CD ROM. I've used Centura Pearl 16x16" Cardstock for the base (it's great to cut in half and make into two 8x8" cards) and matted with a bit of Core'dinations again from the Vintage collection - Retro Mod Squad.
Right, im off to continue playing and prepping more stuff for Leann for the Humphrey Launch next weekend and adding my finishing touch es to my A-may-zing demo's! I hope you can tune in for the launch on Thursday evening at 9pm (and again at 11pm). The Create & Craft Birthday Launch will only be broadcast on Sky (channel 671) or you'll be able to watch on the Create & Craft website.
Hope you can join us and I promise to keep you updated during the shows! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend too!!!
Lots of love, Sara xxx
