Hi everyone! I've just got to my hotel room so thought I'd take 5 mins to update you on my exciting weekend ahead!
I'm over in Germany visiting one of our big European partners - Rayher Hobby
I flew out early this morning and arrived at Stuttgart airport just after lunch. Unfortunately only one of my cases made it on the tight connection in Amsterdam - luckily it was the one with all the samples in (or unluckily you could say, as I could have easily made a few extra samples this evening if need be, I can't muster up my makeup bag and hairbrush! So fingers crossed the bag comes in on a later flight this evening otherwise I'm not exactly going to be looking my best tomorrow!)
I'm here for the 'Hause-Messe' as they call it, or basically what we would know as an open house show. I've been coming out to Laupheim (where their head offices are) now for 5 years, but I missed last year, so it was lovely to get over here and see everyone again!
My German is a bit rusty (and that's putting it politely, short of introducing myself and saying everything is wonderful I don't know any other vocabulary!) but you know me, I'm plenty smily enough to make up for it!
Looking back over the years I found this - this is where I started with Rayher all those years ago... And our Top Score and Enveloper are still selling really well over here!
They have a fantastic showroom setup in their warehouse, and they are running classes and demonstrations all weekend, and next weekend. They have all of their big customers fly in from all over Europe to come and see the new products and take classes and meet the demonstrators. It's very inspirational the way everything is setup - the thing I love about this company is that they embrace ALL crafts, so there are things for the home, table decorating, painting, jewellery making and loads of other fun stuff, as well as the papercrafting side of things.
I'm only here this weekend, and I fly home Sunday evening. Then Leann is coming out next weekend, but she's flying in a few days early to do some advanced classes with the team of professional demonstrators that Rayher have who demonstrate and teach crafting all over Europe. She's going to teach them how to use the Spectrum Noir pens, and that's also what I'll be focussing my demonstrations on this weekend (good job I've been practicing!)
So anyway, I'll let you all know how it goes, and try and take some pics during the demonstrations. I hope everyone else has a crafty weekend lined up too! Have fun whatever you're doing!
