Update from Germany!

Hey all!

I've just got back to the hotel and am all settled in bed ready for an early night, so thought I'd share some pictures with you from today.

Thankfully my suitcase turned up just after lunch today - I was sooooooooo relieved! So I nipped back to the hotel around 2ish to quickly change and run a hairbrush through my hair!

Anyway, it's been a great day - I was demonstrating the Spectrum Noir pens all day, and focussing on the SWALK stamps. I found that there were so many people and each person was only staying for 10-15 minutes, so I settled on a fixed demo and repeated it on loop all day. This was the image I was colouring...

It uses the turquoise's, the pinks, purples and the pale hues, then a few odd colours from the other sets. I was focussing my demos today on the sets of 6 pens.

I met some lovely people from all over Europe. There was one lovely family from Austria in particular that stayed and chatted with me for a long time-

And their daughter Lisa was wanting to practice her English, so she chatted to me for a while so I let her take away my coloured image...

And another cute little girl who was here with her parents who have a shop in Germany who took away one of my images and made it into a card in one of the workshops!

And this lady was very excited to see the demos and placed a large order for lots of pens in her shop in Germany too!

I've met some really interesting people from so many different places - there was a bus-load came in from Slovenia, and also a lovely couple who had come from Bulgaria as well as lots from Holland and Belgium and of course Germany.

And of course I mentioned last night that I had been taken for dinner by the French sales reps...

I know the French guys really well from when I've been over to the French trade show demonstrating for Rayher in previous years. And because I speak French I've always been able to chat with them.

So they took me under their wing last night and babysat me for the evening! My French was incredibly rusty, but after a few hours (and a few bottles of wine!) I found it was coming back to me! (which turned out to be good practice for the French customers I worked with today!)

So anyway, I've just got to bed - needed to have an early get as its starting to catch up with me - all these late nights, and I'm still quite tired from my America trip earlier this week so I'm glad to be turning in early!

Signing off for now, Sara xxx
