A weekend crafting in the Lake District - bliss!

Hi, It's Leann here! I thought you'd like to know about the weekend I spent in the Lake District with our Beatrix Potter competition winners! Our winners were Marion and Sarah, and Amanda and David.

We were staying at Lindeth Howe in Bowness-on-Windermere, which was once owned by the lady herself - Beatrix Potter.

Our winners arrived on Saturday morning, and we spent the day crafting in the library - where Beatrix used to write her Tales!

I'm a hard task-master, but I'm sure you'll agree all four winners made some excellent cards!

Here are Marions:

Good work team!

On Sunday we headed across Lake Windermere to Hill Top Farm - another house in which Beatrix Potter lived. I love visiting this house - if you're a fan of the Tales, it's well worth a visit, as you'll see where a lot of her inspiration came from - including Mr McGregor's garden in the Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Here are David and Amanda sitting outside Hill Top Farm:

After visiting the Beatrix Potter Gallery, we headed back across the Lake to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction in Windermere.

After a very enjoyable, but tiring day we stopped for some High Tea - which was yummy!

Before I sign off, I must just extend a few thank you's. Firstly, to the National Trust, the staff at the Attraction, and everyone at Lindeth Howe. Thank you for your hospitality! To Marion, Sarah, Amanda and David - thank you for making this a very enjoyable weekend! And lastly to my lovely hubby Simon for coming along to give me a helping hand!

I'm off to get ready for the Pick of the Day shows tonight! Don't forget to tune in from 9pm!

Leann xx
