Well with all this terrible weather this weekend I took the opportunity to relax at home in the conservatory and get my Species out and have a bit play - I've been working on preparation for our big launch this Friday (Christmas in Mulberry Wood as you'll hopefully have seen from the blog hop!) and ive also just by the skin of my teeth got my June challenge card entry!
For anyone who doesn't know about our monthly challenge, in a nutshell, all you have to do is make a card according to the theme we set, and then enter it in our challenge over on the Crafter's Companion monthly challenge blog to be in with a chance of winning a £30 gift voucher to spend on the Crafter's Companion Website
Anyway, this months Challenge was 'Time to Embellish' so I decided to use some of the faux embellishments from the Strawberry Kisses CD Rom (for the floral embellishment) and the A year with Humphrey CD Rom (for the buckle)
For lottie - IG 1 and 2 and the blender pen
The pink dress and shoes PP 1, 3 and 4
Cream colour on the wand, socks etc TN1,2
So I'll be entering that over on the Challenge Blog where we've had almost 300 entries! It's a great place to go looking for inspiration too if you are looking for ideas on how to embellish your cards.
Then I've also been working on the Mulberry Woods demo's and have put together this lovely card... (well, I think it's lovely!!)
The images in this range are so cute!
Here's the colours in the Spectrum Noir range that I used...
Elephant - IG1, IG2, IG3
Pink on Ears - PP1, PP3
Red Suit - DR3, DR5, DR6
Grey on Hat and Suit - BG1, BG2, BG3
Green Trees - JG1, JG3
Also, we've included a new section on this Cd Rom designed to work with the Epiphany Tools.
You can see how the sheets are planned to work to perfectly size wise with your tool. In my card here I used the Round 14 tool and matching Bubble caps and it looked great when it was finished in the middle of the ribbon...
Anyway, must dash - I'm typing this as I sit on the plane waiting for it to depart from Newcastle - I'm flying to Munich via Amsterdam and I'm on HSE (German shopping telly) tonight from 11pm (10pm our time) and again tomorrow at 12, 4 and 8pm so watch out for more updates here on the blog!
Signing off for now! Sara xxx
