Beatrix Potter Tree project

Many of you have now got your hands on the Beatrix Potter 'A Winter's Tale' papercrafting kit that is currently part of the Blockbuster on Create & Craft! We've previously shown you how to build up the Frame Cards from the set (click here to view this project) and now we're bringing you a short project showing you how to build up the trees from the kit (with thanks to Rachel from our Design Team for preparing the project for us).

Firstly, release the three white card pieces from the tree sheet in the pack.

Fold each of the pieces as shown below:

Glue the tab on the longer piece of card, and fold the card piece around to create a small box shape.

Carefully build up the decoupage elements on the base part of the tree. Glue the two concertina pieces of card onto each side of the tree. Adhere the 'box' piece tot he bottom of the tree (behind where the trunk will be) to create a stand for the tree. Carefully glue the top layer of the tree in place, making sure to line up the bottom and the sides of the tree.

Now decorate the rest of three as you wish, to complete your project.

  • Thanks for this. At last I know how to put them together as I missed the demonstrations on Create and Craft. A super kit.

  • Fantastic kit and thank you for this demo.I recorded the wrong C&C program and didn't know what to do. I have looked everywhere on the CD to find more templates for the spacers for tree project and wonder where I can find them?.

The link to the tutorial for the frame cards is not working. I have used "Search" on your Blog for Beatrix Potter Frame cards and can find nothing - can you direct me to the tutorial - perhaps by sending me the link? It took me ages to find the Tree Card tutorial! BY the time I found the latter it was too late to make the cards. I really think that instructions for both types of cards should be included with the purchase.
    Many thanks Linda
