Well, I did say yesterday that I had a busy crafty evening ahead - it's Simon's mum's birthday this weekend, and i'm away travelling from thisafternoon for a few days, so I had to get cracked on and get her card and gift made last night!
I had already planned what I was going to make her as a gift - another one of the new Beader's companion Birthday Week projects - this is the one I chose as I think it's really elegant (and also i've seen something really similar in one of the big high street shops - not telling you which one, but it was a FORTUNE!)
I wore it on my last day of shows at C&C last Friday
I decided to use the green glass pearl beads though (you only need 1 strand to make the necklace and earrings!) and I thought it would go really nice with the pewter findings - we have a pack which has the Chain, and all the findings you need to make the necklace and earrings and it's only £2.99!). It would work equally as well using the other colours of glass pearl beads though - and they come in purple, fushia, gold, silver etc, and the chain sets come in gold and silver too.
Here's my finished piece...
And, because I took ages making the gift, it was getting late and I had to just do a quick card...! So when in need of a quick card - you can't beat die-cut decoupage! This is from one of the floral packs we have - I think nothing quite says it like flowers!
And jsut to make it feel a bit more special I made a matching box for it!
For anyone who hasn't seen any pictures of my lovely Mother in Law, here's a few pics... This is one of her with Simon on Mother's Day (before you ask, no he hadn't made the card and giftbox! that was yours truly again!)
And im sure she won't thank me for this, but here's a couple of pictures of her with my Nana earlier this year when we had a family day out at Beamish!
