Update from the green room

Evening all!

Just a quick update from me - I'm just sitting in the green room, having a cup of tea with Joanna Sheen, getting ready for the last show of the day at 8pm on Ideal World with Martyn Parker.

I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to share with you the sizes from the project I made in the last show... It's a tealight card holder to hold 4 candles in a slider drawer. It's an adaptation of the project on the advanced construction techniques DVD.

For the base drawer, you need to start with a sheet of card measuring 7 1/2 inches x 2 3/4 inches, and score on the box lid side of the boxer board at 5/8 inch depth.

Then for the main card, cut a piece to 11 5/8 x 6 1/2 inches. Score on the box base side at 1/2 inch, then crease, fold and butt again and score at 5/8, then crease and butt and score at 1 1/2, then crease and butt and score finally at 5/8 inch.

From the opposite edge score at 3.5 inches for the half way point.

You should find that the sider works well...

Hope you enjoy making it!

This is a great project Sara. But would you be able to translate the inches into cm please? xx
Can't wait to start making it.

Marion. I have converted for you.

    Base Card size 29cm x 16.5cm
    5/8" = 1.5cm
    1.5" = 3.7cm
    1/2" = 1.3cm

Little slider drawer 19cm x 7cm, score on all four sides at 1.5cm

    Fantastic show as always Sara!

The Ultimate Pro is a fabulous crafting tool and no crafter should be without one. I love these cards because you can make them for other small gifts like jewellery, chocolates etc. I am making a friend some jewellery for her 40th birthday, so what better way to give give the gift and card together. :)

As Kaye says, could you please post the size for the envelobox to fit this card. Thank you!

    Happy Crafting!!! :) X X
