I've just got into bed, here at the NEC in Birmingham, as we're down for the UK Trade Show - Stitches. This is the show where we're presenting all of our products to our trade customers (the shops up and down the country who stock our products). We've been doing this show for 8 years now, and every year we go through the same drill - myself ad our main Trade Team (consisting of Claire and Louisa) drive down on the Friday and do all the hard work building the stand, and then on the Saturday morning the crowds descend as all the other staff arrive to make it look pretty! I thought you might want to see how our day went today...!
We were over at the warehouse at 8am this morning finishing off packing the last few bits and pieces in the van!
Then when we got to the NEC to start unloading, luckily they had already laid our carpets so we were ready to get cracking! (Purple carpets of course - would you have expected anything less!)
And they already had our banner hung from the ceiling, so we know everyone will be able to find us OK!!
Around 2pm we finished unloading...
And literally had stuff EVERYWHERE!!!
Not only did we have our main Crafter's Companion stand to build, but also a separate stand for our Spectrum Noir pens...
I'd come up with this wonderful idea of having the whole back wall pre-printed onto panels that would just screw into place... easier said than done...!
But it came together in the end, and looked great when it was up! Leann will be so proud when she sees it!
And then, we had ANOTHER stand to build! This time to showcase our Dies and Embossing Folders, and also where the demonstrations are happening for the eBosser - I'm really excited because we've got Emily from Craftwell flying in from the States tomorrow and she's demonstrating all weekend for us!
And here's lovely Andrew - the guy who makes the whole show work, and who just looks after us the whole time we're here! (I think he just takes pity seeing 3 women trying to build the whole stand!!)
