This week we're thrilled to put the Designer Spotlight on the lovely Pam Leng!
Read a bit more about her in her own words:
"I have been crafting now for about seven years and started when I was off work after an operation and found Create and Craft on the TV. My first purchase was some decoupage and the rest is history. Like everyone else I start with a couple of items and now I have a room full. I have been on the design team for Crafter's Companion since December 2011 and can still remember receiving the email from Leann asking me to join, my poor husband wondered what was going on as I was so excited. My main passion is 3d projects and I love nothing better than trying to work out how to make something, although I am now starting to get into stamping and love colouring with the Spectrum Noir Pens."
Here are a few of Pam's favourite projects:
And a few tips from Pam, too:
"If I have printed off spare sheets of backing paper I always write in pencil on the back which CD they have come from then when making a card I can always go straight back to the CD for matching papers."
"I have started to make swatches of colours that I think work well together when using my Spectrum Noir pens. I have cut out some circles on Neenah card and placed the combinations onto the front of the circle. Then on the back I have attached a sticker with the colours on. I have punched a small hole in the top and joined them together with a small ring clip. Then it is easy for me to choose colour combinations when I am colouring. (see photo above)"
"I have bought some stacking tubs from one of the £1 shops and sorted out all my buttons into colours that match the lid of the tub. They all stack up together and it makes it so much easier to find the colour button you require.(see photo above)"
These tips from Pam are fantastic! We are so glad she is part of our team!
