It's Joy Ferguson's turn in the spotlight this week, and we can't wait do you to learn more about this talented lady!
"My name is Joy Ferguson and I joined the design team in March. Like many of the other silver crafted in some way since I was at school where I learnt the basics of knitting and sewing. My two grandmas were crafters too one taught me to crochet and the other was before her time with altered projects. I trained as a primary school teacher but decided I'd rather be a stay at home mum when my children came along. While they were small I worked on cross stitch and patchwork but then I really got hooked on card making. I'm always looking for new ideas whether its a new card fold or 3D project. I like to surprise people, sometimes even myself!
"My favourite project is probably whichever I'm currently working on, but here are a few I especially love:

A crafty tip from Joy: "If you've stuck down a layer with double sided tape and its crooked then instead of leaving it or trying to pull it off and risk tearing the paper, heat it gently with your heat gun. It softens the glue and you should find it peels up without any trouble, but be careful not to scorch it!"
We are lucky to have Joy as part of our design team! And we just found out tomorrow is her birthday, so be join us in wishing her a very happy birthday!
Lovely to read about you Joy, your projects are fabulous, especially the bird house, thank you for the tip with double sided tape will have to try that.

Hi Joy,
I was on the web site ordering more card and just had to pop over and leave a note.
I've always enjoyed checking out your projects and remember, if you ever make that trip to USA, count me in :D
