Monthly craft column!

2Jemima Puddleduck 6
I'm so thrilled to finally be able to share the exciting news that I've been invited to do a monthly column in the best-selling women's magazine 'Choice'! Each month I'll be teaching their readers about crafting! I'm so excited about this tremendous opportunity to teach new crafters fun and interesting techniques, and share some great tips too!

Check out this pic I snapped of my first issue:

If you're headed to the shops, look for this cover:

We've put everything you need to re-create this project over on the website as a FREE download! Get it here:

I'd love some help and suggestions from you, too! Do you read Choice magazine? What sort of projects do you think might be good for me to feature for new crafters? Leave me a comment here or on my Facebook page!

Having recently started craft workshops (non profit making) for total beginnings, mostly retired ladies, the questions they all ask is: What are the best products to purchase:- cardstock, scissors , mats, inks, glue, stamps, paper cutters, storage etc etc.
I know from experience (self taught) the bad choices I made, which we all know costs money! Crafting isn't just about making a card, it also gives people a sense of achievement, self confidence, and opens up a whole new field of interest. Back to basics means just that!. Learning from experienced crafters will point all beginners in the right direction, enabling them to make educated choices. Purchasing the correct tools for the job will not only save them money, but also encourage them to continue with the craft. Of course you can go on line, but that is a bit of a minefield, it can confuse and put people off. Experience is priceless.
I'm aware you are asking for project ideas but if you don't enlighten and encourage in the beginning some 'folks' will never go on to projects.
I do hope my comments are of some value.

    Hi Sara
It was a lovely surprise to see your column in Choice magazine. My husband and I have subscribed to Choice magazine for 13years, It is a really good magazine aimed at 55 plus , both men and women. It is not a woman's magazine as such . There are always interesting articles about travel, health, etc and your contribution has just put the icing on the cake for me .

    Hi Sara
It was a lovely surprise to see your article appear in Choice magazine. My husband and I have subscribed to this magazine for 13 years now. It is aimed at 55 yrs plus and is not only a woman's magazine as it has articles which men would find interesting too, eg travel, health issues, money matters etc. Your column is of course of particular interest to me and I am so pleased to read it each month. Thank you.
