On the CD: • 3D Décor Companions – Design 5 • Spotty Backing Paper – Design Set 3, Colour 1 • Pink Marbled Paper – Co-ordinating Papers – Design Set 10, Colour 1 • Doilies – Design Set 4 • Embellishments – Design Set 3 printed on rear of Spotty Paper • Sentiments – Design Set 2 • Insert A6 size – Design Set 10, Colour 1 and Verse Writer Other Supplies: • Distress Paint (Tea Dye, Victorian Velvet and Picket Fence) • two small canvases • white gesso • lace How it was done: 1. From the Brambly Hedge CD-ROM 1, print the pink marbled paper and the Spotty Paper. Cut these to fit your chosen canvasses. To make spotty frames place cut paper over the reverse of canvas and cut through with a craft knife. Then distress all the edges with a pair of scissors or distressing tool. Colour edges of all paper pieces with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. 2. Next using firstly, the White Gesso paint the canvases then use the Distress Paints to colour both canvases concentrating on the edges. Only paint in about ½” onto canvass top as this will be covered by papers. 3. Take marbled paper pieces and glue to front of canvases. 4. For inside of book; cut layers of 3D Décor Companions and using Collall Glue Gel place inside the reverse of one of the canvases. You may need to trim these to fit your frame. Add lace around edge of frame. Then glue a spotty frame over the top. Repeat for the other piece using the insert and verse panel trimming to fit. 5. Take 2 pieces of ribbon and place across the back of the pieces making sure you leave enough in the centre to allow the book to close together. Glue in to place. 6. Cut out rollie roses from embellishment sheet together with a Doily to match. Edge doily with lace and glue to front of book. 7. Decorate the front of the book with the roses and sentiments to finish. See the entire Brambly Hedge range:
