Tutorial: Oval Blossom Branch Easel

10aCustom

Shilpa has made a gorgeous easel card and created a tutorial for you to follow along with!

Crafter's Companion UK supplies:

Directions: 1b (Small) 1) Create easel card base. I've used an oval die with A4 Centura Pearl Card Snow White to create the easel base and also the top layer. 2b (Small) 2) Take an embossing folder, Blossom Branch, to emboss the top layer. To add colour to my embossed top layer I've used a few (non-permanent) ink pads and gently inked up the top of my embossing folder. 3bsmall 3) Run this through your machine and get a beautiful result. Wash your embossing folder in warm soapy water before doing anything else. 4small 4) Stick the embossed layer onto the card front using Collal All Purpose Glue (only stick the bottom half, as it's an easel). 5small 5) Print out the tag sheet (or any image of your choice from the CDROM). I used photo paper for a gloss look. 6 (Small) 6) I have a wooden frame to frame my chosen image (you can use a fancy die-cut frame). Then colour up the frame in a contrasting colour. 7small 7) Adhere the framed image on top of the card, using Collal Quick Dry Tacky Glue. 8asmall 8) To embellish the front of my card, I've used sections of a floral vine, a bow, a flat back peral and a die-cut butterfly using Fluttering Butterfly die. 9 9) For the inside of the card I stamped out a sentiment on Centura Pearl Snow White, using the Porcelain stamp set. This will be the stopper for the easel. 10) Cut out the sentiment, mat and layer on coloured card and embellish using flowers from the vine used earlier (or any flowers that co-ordinate).
