Want to make a framed card? Liz is showing you how, with our new Scruffy Little Kitten CD!
Crafter's Companion UK supplies:
Step 1. Take one A4 sheet of Kraft card and cut it to measure 8 1/16” by 9 3/16”.
Using the Ultimate-Pro, with the shortest edge toward you, score vertically at ½” and 1” and make a mark at 1¾” (Do not score all the way across the card). Turn the cardstock 180° and repeat the score-lines.
Now, with the longest edge towards you, repeat the score-lines again on both sides.
Step 2. With a pencil, join the marks you made at 1¾” to create a frame. Create an inner frame 1/2" deep, then cut the inner frame out and score the outer frame. Cut a slit in each corner toward the outer frame.
Cut along the second horizontal score-line from the bottom, up to the intersection with the second horizontal score-line, then cut off the three square at the corner. Repeat this on all four corners.
Step 3. Fold and burnish the score-line and assemble the frame.
Step 4. From the CD-ROM, print off the image you want within the frame, a designer insert, co-ordinating papers and some embellishments.
I have used Topper Companion, co-ordinating paper, designer insert and cards companions for embellishment, all from design set 9.
With another piece of A4 kraft card, cut 1” off the length and score at A4 ½ fold. With the Collall All-Purpose glue, stick your main image to the right hand side of the scored card. Affix your frame to the front of the card.
Step 5. Cut down your insert to fit inside the card when folded and affix this to the inside of the front cover.
Step 6. Complete your card by embellishing as you wish.
