Tutorial: Edge'ables Z Fold Card

C9 - Copy

Wondering how to use the fantastic new Edge'ables dies? Angela put together a great tutorial for you!

Crafter's Companion UK supplies:

Directions:

C1 - Copy

Step 1: For the card base measure and cut out a card 11” x 5 4/8”. Score at 2 6/8” and 5 4/8”.

C2 - Copy

Step 2: Fold the card so it looks like the letter Z.

C3 - Copy

Step 3: Unfold your card and lay flat with the Pearl side of the card facing up towards you, with the 5 4/8” section of the card to the left. Select one of your Edge’ables Die and place it along the right hand edge.

C4 - Copy

Step 4: Secure with a small piece of tape and feed through your Cut N Boss. Remove the die and cut out the waste using a pair of scissors lining up with the end of the die cut .

C5 - Copy

Step 4a: This is how it will look.

C6 - Copy

Step 5: Matt and layer your chosen paper and attach it to the inside of the large panel.

C7 - Copy

Step 6: Your card will now look like this.

C8 - Copy

Step 7: To decorate your card select your Quilling Die’s. I have used the following:

Stamen Quilling Die – used one
Itsy Bitsy Bloom Quilling Die – used two
Sunflower small Quilling Die – used two

Angela added: "Here I used a fantastic tip from Fiona which I found on YouTube and that is to attach a strip of red tape to your quilling cut outs and then roll then up. It’s a lot quicker than using wet glue! Finish by attach a gem or pearl to the centre of the flower and glue to your card."

We would love to see what you make! Share your card with us on our Facebook page!

Thank you so much Angela, I've been waiting for this! I just love all of the Edge'ables and bought the set of 10. Having read this I think I'll be making my first card tomorrow so fingers crossed it looks as good as yours. I hope there will be a Christmas set too but perhaps that's being greedy. Us crafters are never satisfied are we? Pat x

I can't find the correct sandwich to cut the edge able dies. The one in the leaflet with the e bosser won't go through the machine and anything thinner doesn't cut out properly. I was hoping the e bosser would solve the cutting problems I had with the Grand Calibur, i.e. just putting the die through the machine once instead of several times.
