I am so excited about the Spectrum Noir AquaBlend pencils launching this week! I've been colouring away, and thought you might like to see a few of the things I've been working on (and see the pencils in action) :)
The high pigment in these pencils is amazing and because of this they give an intense true colour. The colour goes down so smoothly when dry, and although the colours are intense, a more softer transparent colour is easily achieved when blended with a little more water.
They blended beautifully, so easy to work with! For anyone wanting to get into stamping and colouring I think watercolour pencils are a great way to start...
The colours build up fantastically! Here's a little tip though: I've found if the watercolour card was too wet the colour just stayed in one place, so when colouring larger images I started with my first layer of colour on the whole image and then went back in with shading where I had first started.
Even though I've been playing with these all week would have loved to have come down and done the shows myself tomorrow, Sheena is the artist, and she said these are artist quality! So I felt that it needed someone of that calibre to really teach you about them. Be sure to watch her shows! Untl then, check out more on this page: http://bit.ly/1oDtkNL
