Tutorial: Daisy Tote

Create a fabulous tote gift bag with this tutorial from Kerin. Just fill them up with something delicious for your friends and family! When we posted this wonderful project on Facebook, we were flooded with requests for a tutorial. Kerin was kind enough to show us how she made this little tote, so you can re-create them too!

Crafter's Companion Supplies:

Other Supplies: ribbon | tag | sentiment |Die'sire Fancy Frame die

Step 1. Begin with a piece of plain card stock measuring 6-3/4" x 7-1/2".

Using The Big Score scoring board, place your cardstock on the board at the left edge as shown. Score in 1-1/2" from each side, then line cardstock up against the left edge on the long side and score in 3" from each side.

Step 2. Cut on score lines as shown.

Step 3. On the opposite side of the card stock, add red liner tape as shown.

Step 4. Assemble box.

Step 5. Cut two 5 x 5-1/2" pieces of card stock.

Step 6. Lay Fancy Frame die over card stock as shown before running it through your die cutting machine, so that the bottom edge of the cardstock remains uncut.

Here's what it will look like from the back once cut.

Step 7. Adhere the two die cut pieces of decorative cardstock to either side of the box using red liner tape.

Step 8: Use the same method to attach the other die cut to the other side. Punch two holes in each side and add ribbon handles if desired 2 x 7" pieces of ribbon on each side.

Have lots of fun making some of your own!
