Looking for something to make with your children or grandchildren for a rainy day? Why not have some fun covering a notebook that they can then use to write or draw in! Suzi has two fabulous designs for you in her tutorial here! Have lots of crafty fun inside on a wet and rainy day!
Step 1: Measure the notebook you are recovering, front, spine and back. using appropriate card stock score at the relevant measurements. TIP: add 1/8" to the first scoreline to allow for the fold over the spine
Step 2: Cut a piece of card stock 3" wide by 2" score at 1/4" adding glue or tape and adhere to spine and inside back cover. Once folded and dry cut off excess.
Step 3: Measure 1" from bottom of book and 3/4" from the side and cut a slit to accommodate the elastic lace closure.
Secure it on the inside of the back cover using either glue/tape or hot glue gun. Cut a piece of card 7" x 3" to cover the inside workings of the closure.
Step 4 : Once the glue is dry add your papers and decorate.
