Inspirational Tutorial: Autumnal Wreath

4s

Designer Suzi McManus has been having fun with the Freebies from the  Crafter’s Inspiration Magazine Issue 11! How stunning is this project! Suzi takes you through how you can make one too with her step by step tutorial below. You could change it up and make one ready for Christmas too using poinsettia and holly stamps and dies! Just have fun with it!
Directions:
1s
Step 1: Using the free CD-ROM print off the papers you would like to use for the leaves, adding colour if required using Spectrum Noir pens of your choice. Cut the papers into strips for ease and emboss with the leaves embossing border folder. Using the leaves stamps to match the free dies start stamping again using a coloured ink of your choice.

Step 2:  Die cutting the stamped leaf images with your leaf dies. For a 4″ wreath you need a mixture of approx 24 leaves.

Step 3:  To make the wreath you need to either cut 4 rings freehand or use nesting dies approx 4″ in diameter. For the front and back  of the wreath use Kraft card as it blends in with the Autumn theme.  Add your twine for hanging onto the inside of the first ring before gluing the rest together.
Step 4: Stamp out the sentiment from the free stamps in your kit and die cut it out. Suzi used the  Verity Rose frame die but you can use any die to fit the sentiment! Assemble your  leaves, sentiments, twine, buttons etc. and start decorating your wreath.
