Tutorial of the month: October

Happy October! Gosh that means our BIRTHDAY & Halloween is just around corner...and Santa will be on his way REALLY soon too! We can't believe how time flies! It's our fault for having all the fun! Jo has created this October's tutorial of the month and what a fantastic card it is! See the steps below on how to create a Diamond Fold Pop Up Card using a Create-a-card die from the Die'sire range. The die Jo has used is now out of stock but you'll be able to use any Create-a-Card die in your stash or any found on our website!

Steps to create:

Step 1: Cut a piece of A3 centura pearl to 8 inches and trim the excess away. Turn the card and mark a score line at 8 inches using the A3 Big Score – this should now be an 8 x 8 card base, trim away any excess.

Step 2: Placing the score line into the butt of the lid side, score again at 4 inches.

Step 3: Place your Create-a-Card die in place, use a little tape to keep it secure and cut and emboss it using your Gemini!

Step 4: Turn your card so you can use your big score to score lines from where the die finishes in the middle to the outer score lines (its much easier if you look at the photo).

Step 5: Take a piece of foam, a ruler and scoring tool and score the bottom sides of the die.

Step 6: Fold over the base of your card. Then fold the diagonal score lines as shown.

Step 7: You now have a finished card to decorate.

You can add a panel of patterned paper to the base of the card and stick the main part of the design down to this using tacky glue. Add embellishments and flowers or whatever you see fit! This would make a brilliant base design for a Christmas card..don't you think?

Happy crafting!
