Step 3

Showing the 4 main images used to decorate your pop up box. These have been cut to 8.5cm squares. Glitter pens used: Berry, Holly Leaf, Apricot, Lemon.

Step 4

All score lines are shown in the diagram.

Take two pieces of A4 kraft card and cut at 21.5cm on the longer side. This will give you 2 pieces of card approx 21.5cm long x 21cm wide. Score one of the card pieces on the back and one on the front so that your fixing tabs will be at opposite ends of the box construction to hold the structure together. Or rotate and score.

step4c-2

First piece: Score at 10cm and 20cm on the 21cm width. This give you two sides and creates a 1cm panel to secure the box sides. Score across the 21.5cm width at 10cm from the top. You will have created 4 panels and a side tab for fixing the box construction, remove the top section of the side tab as shown.

Second piece: Here you reverse or turn your card to create the second tab. Score 21cm width at 10cm and at 20cm. Score the 21.5cm length on one panel only at 10cm from the top. The unscored section creates the back of you pop up box, remove the top section of the side tab as shown.

Using a craft knife and ruler, or scissors cut down the score lines as shown. These parts will form the fold down sections for you to decorate. Score all fold lines.

Step 5

From matt black card create mounting panels for your box construction. These have been embossed using the Scribbly Wishes Embossing Folder by Leonie Pujol and a thin coat of Pebeo Gilding Wax has been applied to highlight embossed detail.

Size of mats required:

1 - 9.5cm x 21cm long

3 – 9.5 cm x 9.5cm

3 - 9.5cm x 11cm long

2 mats for inside panels of card – 9.5cm x 10.5cm or as required.

step5-2

Step 6

Add your embossed panels to your box construction.

step6

Step 7

Using the side tabs created and Collall Tacky Glue add the front panels to the back and side of your box construction.

step7

Step 8

Create the inner panels for your box construction. A piece of kraft card is cut to 27.5cm long by 11cm wide. Scored on the 27.5cm length at 2.5cm, 12.5cm, 15cm, 25cm, and cut at 27cm. Fold and score all lines created. Fold and overlap sides and glue to form a rectangular shape.

step8

Step 9

Secure the panel to the inside of your box as shown.

step9

Step 10

Attach your glitter pen coloured panels to your box.  Images on the front and sides of the box have been printed and coloured in layers and attached with 3D glue. Picture here showing box from different sides and with added glitter and sparkle detail. Extra flower and gem embellishment is from my stash.
