Flowers are a fabulous embellishment for all of your crafty projects and perfect for all occasions! Designer Kelly has been getting 'dotty' with her lillies! Find out how colour your flowers with the gorgeous dot colouring technique, it gives such a beautiful effect. Grab your colouring pens and have lots of fun!
Step 1: Stamp the flower elements onto Neenah card using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink!
Step 2: Lay down a layer of vintage pink using the brush nib in sweeping motion from the centre of the petal out.
Step 3: Using the brush nib on the pink lace pen sweep out again from centre of the petal out to blend the darker colour.
Step 4: Soften the edges of the pink lace colour with the blender pen again using sweeping motions. Then start dabbing the pens in little dots over the petal. Starting with the darker colour at the centre of the petal and then getting little further out.
Step 5: Continue doing this on all of the petals and then go over all the petals dotting with the blender pen.
Step 6: Repeat this for all your images depending on how many flowers you are making.
Step 7: Use the same method on the smaller petal and on the leaves use a sweeping motion instead of dotting. Finally die cut all the elements to assemble onto your project.
Here is a list of what Kelly used for her project, have fun making lots of beautiful flowers!
