This is such a fun and original project from designer Soraya made using fun Leonie Pujol stencils and masks! Transform a simple notebook into a personalised and unique item. This stunning notebook makes an adorable present for a special friend!
Step 1: Lay the notebook on top of the white Neenah card and mark out the area to decorate. Stick the Leonie Pujol stencil in the bottom with a repositionable adhesive.
Step 2: Add the distress inks with the smoothies blending sponge starting with the lightest colour. Keep adding the other colours until all the area is covered.
Step 3: Add distress inks over the stencil to make sure there is no white spaces around the words.
Step 4: Repeat the procedure on the rest of the paper to make the bookmark a 2"x6"
Step 5: Stamp the poppy flower on the top of the word with Versamark. Use the masking technique to complete the flower.
Step 6 : Splatter a few drops of water with a brush over the paper and with a kitchen tissue dry the water to create light spots on the cover.
Step 7: Score the borders in the notebook binding area with the Big Score.
Step 8: Add some texture with the Mix Media Stencils and the Picked Raspberry distress ink.
Step 9: Cut the cover and glue it to the notebook. Apply distress ink Wild Honey around the borders and paint the flower in yellow, orange, red and white.
Step 10: Finally use the Grunge Band Stamp with the Forest Moss distress In to add some decorative elements to the background. Take out the Leoni Stencil and draw the borders of the words with black pen.
Step 11: Use the same procedure with the bookmark. Add some doodling in the top and layer the bookmark in black cardstock.
