Steps to create your Mother's Day card
Print out the 6 Threader papers from the CD-Rom onto thin card. Trim 2 strips from each of the papers to 1.5 inches wide.
Using a tape runner glue the strips to an A4 piece of thin card, alternating colours and pattern.
Using a guillotine cut the patterned sheet into 1.5 inch strips. Four strips are needed to make the card. Line up the strips alternating pattern and trim with guillotine. Follow the photographs to see how the strips were put back together. Tip (the finished strips should measure 6 x 6 inches.
Cut a piece of A3 centura pearl card stock 13 x 6 .5 inches and fold in half to make actual card.
Adhere the strips to the card leaving a small border around edges.
Cut out the heart die cuts using large heart in pink pattern card, four small hearts in selection of coloured card and the second largest heart die in Neenah white card.
Stamp the sentiment “a family stitched together with love rarely unravels” and “Happy Mother’s day” sentiment.
Using embossing tool and mat gently shape the hearts to give them some dimension.
Adhere hearts onto the card with decoupage glue. Using a pencil draw on small stitched dashes around the white heart. Add lace ribbon to each side of card for extra interest.
We'd love to see what you make with your Crafter's Inspiration 13 magazine and also what creations you come up with for Mother's Day!
