When you want a wow on the mantlepiece, you can always rely on the Crafter's Companion Create a Card dies to deliver! Using the Circle Kinetic dies according to the handy instructions that come with the packaging, you can make an outstanding card with a kinetic twist.
Settle back with a cuppa and let's look at how we can make a Gatefold Circle Swing card which is sure to stun anyone who receives it!
Shimmery Centura Pearl A3 card gives you the size you need for this card and the strength and quality required for a card which has moving features. Cut a piece of Centura Pearl Hint of Gold or Hint of Silver card to measure 5.5" x 13.5 "
Following the instructions in the handy booklet which comes in the die pack, line up the circle pop out die towards the edge of the card using the outline die. Use a tiny piece of low tack tape to hold the circle die pop out die in place, but do not tape down the outline die.
Slide the outline die away, because you are not going to die cut that part. Run the Centura Pearl card and the pop out circle die through the Gemini electronic die cutting machine. When you have cut the card, then carefully ease off the tape and release the die. You should have a really clean cut pop out with nice crisp folds. Resist the temptation to stand the card up! Leave it flat on the plates and get ready for the next step!
Now we are going to repeat the cutting and placement on the other end of the rectangle. Take care because this time, we are cutting a mirror image of what we did at first. So, following the instructions in the handy booklet which comes in the die pack, line up the circle pop out die towards the other edge of the card using the outline die. Again, use a tiny piece of low tack tape to hold the circle die pop out die in place, but do not tape down the outline die.
Once more, slide the outline die away, because you are not going to die cut that part. Again, run the Centura Pearl card and the pop out circle die through the Gemini electronic die cutting machine. Finally, when you have cut the card, then carefully ease off the tape and release the die.
Now, you should have two really clean cut pop outs with nice crisp folds. This time, you do not need to resist the temptation to stand the card up! Go for it!
Fold both sides really carefully to create the gatefold circle pop out die cut card. And now the fun begins! Use dies and papers from the Sara Signature Shabby Chic collection to decorate the card. If you missed out on the paper pads, don't worry! Grab a copy of Crafter's Inspiration 14 and print them from the CD included in the pack.
Make sure you have a peep on the Crafter's Companion Pinterest boards for some great ideas from the Design Team which show you just how creative you can be combining these Create-a-Card Kinetic Dies to make innovative card styles.
