We're crating pretty wedding decorations using this tutorial from Mel Jess. Would you have a go yourself?
These pretty boxes can be customised to be used for a variety of different occasions!
To recreate this box, you will need
Centura Pearl A4
Quilling Die –
- Fringed Flower Large and Small
- Sunflower Large and Small
- Camelia Large and Small
- Itsy Bitsy Bloom
Collall Tacky Glue
Collall 3D Glue
Cut 6 squares of Centura Pearl card, two 8 ½, two 6 ¾ and two 5 ¼ inches
Using the Ultimate Pro or Box Board score each square, 1 for each lid and base for each size at the third score line from the lip
Fold the score lines, cut tabs out and form all the lids and bases. Set aside
Using your Quilling Flower Dies, cut out lots of flowers in different sizes and styles and centres
Form the flower by shaping them then adding Red Tape to 2 flower layers fronts and along the back of one centre. Use tweezers to hold on end of the centre and roll up to form the centre then wrap around the flowers layers
Another way of forming the flower, is shaping then taking two flower layers and sticking them together making sure the petals on the top are in the spaces below. Wrap and stick around the centre
Make up all your different flowers, shaping as you go. Glue gems to all the centres
Take your boxes and wrap lace around all 3 lids with the ends all at one corner. Glue the bases to the centre of each lid to form your 3 Tier Cake
Starting on the top box, start by gluing your larger flowers to cascade down one side of the box where all your lace ends will be covered. Now add in the medium and smaller ones until your happy. Be careful where you glue the flowers if you want your box to open.
Your now ready to display the cake. You can die-cut numbers to use for as Table Numbers at a Wedding and fill with sweet treats or gifts
TOP TIP – For something a bit Special, the top box can hold a ring box and be used as an Extra Special Engagement Box
