We're all for trying new things especially when it comes to our card making. So we thought...why not try passing some of the gorgeous new Cottage Garden fabric through our gemini machine and seeing what stunning card creations come of it!
Spectrum Noir DG2 pen for colouring leaves
Take a piece of Centura Pearl Snow white with a hint of silver card stock and cut to 10.5" x 7.5" Score at 5.25" fold and burnish to make card.
Cut a piece of Centura Pearl fresh Pink 6.75" x 5" and another piece of Centura pearl Snow White to 6.5" x 4.5" both of these will be used for matting and layering.
Using one of the Threaders adhesive sheets follow the instructions and add your chosen material to suit the dies chosen.
Step 3 Proceed to die cut using the outer Venetian Mirror, taking care when removing the small pieces from the outer edge.
Die cut a piece of Fresh Pink Centura Pearl using the inner section of the Venetian Mirror. Cut and emboss this using the 3D embossing folder. Put them to one side to use later.
Step 4 Choose the dies you would like to decorate your card with. Various dies from Crafters Companion have been used in this example.
Step 5 To get the maximum amount of use from your materials, use the waste to die cut the smaller elements that you will use for decoration.
Step 6 Before assembling your card gather all the materials you will need and at this stage, use the Pebeo Gilding Wax to enhance the 3D embossing you've already created on the inside of the Venetian Mirror and then, colour your leaves with Spectrum Noir DG2.
Cut out your sentiment of choice using CP fresh Pink and CP Snow white, glue together at an angle to give the sentiment more depth.
Place your matting and layering sections onto the front of your card using Collall All Purpose Glue as this will give you time to align the layers perfectly. Now you can assemble you embellishments using Collall 3d glue, adding any gems or pearls as required. Decorate to your taste and most of all have Fun!!!
We'd love to see you give this project a go! Post your makes over on our Facebook page for us to see!
