Easy Cardmaking with Dawn Macfie

The wonderful Dawn from Dawn's Inspirations is back and this time she is showing us how to make quick and easy Christmas cards using the new Card Companion kit's. Keep reading to see how these quick and easy kits are perfect for easy festive projects!

Sit back and enjoy this video!

Items Needed

Card Companion Kit – Contemporary
Harmony Ink Pad – Oasis
Collall All Purpose Glue
Collall 3D Glue or Foam Pads
Gems or pearls to decorate

Step 1

Select a sheet from your kit and cut the main patterned card at 5” and 1 ½” across. Giving you 2 pieces of card measuring 5” x 9” and 1 ½” x 9”

Step 2

Next pop out the die cuts from your sheet. You can now ink the edges of your die cuts.

Step 3

Using a scoreboard with the long side at the top score the larger of your main card pieces at 2 ¼”and 4 ½”. Then take the strip and score this at 4 ½” and 6 ¾” and burnish your score lines. Making sure the pattern on the card is the right way up.

Step 4

Take the die cut strip and stick this to the long 1 ½” wide strip.

Step 5

Stick the long strip to your card base to create your z fold card. See the video.

Step 6

Now you can have fun sticking your die cut elements to the z fold card base. Glue some flat and some in 3D using your 3D Glue Gel or foam pads.
Your Card is now ready to send.
