Multi Media Minatures with Dawn Macfie

The wonderful Dawn from Dawn's Inspirations is back and this time she is showing us how to make a super cute card using the Gemini Multi Media Minatures range. Keep reading to see how to make this card for a loved one!

Sit back and enjoy this video, in which Dawn talks you through the steps!

What you need
Centura Pearl Double Sided – White
Vintage Tea Party 6 x 6 Paper Pad
Multi Media Die – Owl
Sew Lovely - Patchwork embossing folder
Harmony Ink Pads – Pink Tulip & Pale Fig
Choose your own sentiment
Vintage Tea Party – Bakers Twine
6 x Wobbly Eyes
Crafters Companion 3D foam Pads
Collall All Purpose Glue

Step 1

Cut centura pearl at 8 ½” x 8 ¼” and score on short side at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼” . Cut another 2 pieces of centura pearl at 8 ¼” x 4 ¼” and 8” x 4”. Plus a strip at 6 ½” x 1 ¾”.

Step 2

Choose 3 sheets of pattern paper and die cut the pieces to make up an owl. As these are Multi Media Dies you can cut through all 3 layers of paper at once.

Step 3

Stick the elements of the owls together in the different ways to create “ see no, hear no and speak no” also don’t forget to add the wobbly eyes.

Step 4

Use the embossing folder to add pattern and texture to your card and then ink this with your ink pads to add colour.

Step 5

Tie the twine around the stopper element of your card and die cut your sentiment from patterned paper.

Step 6

Next assemble all the elements your card, 3D the Owls to make them stand out even more. Being an easel card this will fold flat for postage.
