“Appreciate the little things” project

One of the Crafter’s Companion DT members, Nicola Jolliffe, has provided us with this gorgeous project to keep us inspired over the festive period:

You Will Need:
Butt the long edge of a piece of Snow White card against the handle edge of the Ultimate Pro and score along the ‘half-fold A4’ line. Turn the card so a short edge of the card is now against the handle, and again score along the ‘Half-Fold A4’ line. Cut along this line to give you a 6-inch square card blank.
Cut a 5.5 inch square piece of card on the Clevercut paper trimmer, from a piece of blue card. Cut a 5-inch square piece of card from the remaining piece of Snow White card. Using the corner punch on the Clever cut, round all the corners on the two pieces of square card. Round the outside corners of the card blank using the Clevercut.
Spray the back of your Peter Rabbit stamp with Stick & Spray and stick to your Rock-a-Block. Lightly tap it with the Staz-on ink pad, and stamp three identical images of Peter on to watercolour card.

Using your watercolour pencils, colour the three images. Leave one image of Peter whole, with no whiskers. On the second image, cut away his body and the right (as you look at the image) of his jacket, leaving his head and left of jacket joined. For the final image, cut away his body and jacket, leaving only his head. Curve the cut out pieces with your scoring tool.

Using the same image, stamp on the centre of the Snow white 5-inch square, leaving it uncoloured. Matt and layer your card, starting with the main card blank, then the blue 5.5-inch square, then the 5 Snow White square.

Using the glue gel, apply to the back of the cut-out stamped images. Add to the uncoloured image on the card, starting with the biggest layer and ending with Peter’s head. This will give you a decoupage image of Peter Rabbit.

Using the glue gel, attach your ribbon and Perfectly Pretty Flowers to your card, then add the gems.

With the sentiment attached to your Rock-a-Block, stamp it on to a piece of Snow White Centura card. Cover your sentiment with embossing powder and tip off excess onto a piece of paper and pour back into pot. Protecting your working surface, heat your powdered sentiment, until it turns back to black. Do not over heat it – remove the heat as soon as it turns glossy! Add the sentiment to the bottom of your card using glue gel.
