This weekend it is Caroline Weir’s turn in the Spotlight! Read on to find out more about her:
“I got into crafting when I returned from working overseas as a holiday rep. I must’ve been getting under my Mam’s feet with no job so she set me the task of making some Christmas Cards, the obsession quickly grew from there!!! I love using sparkly things stickles, jewels & of course the fabulous spray & sparkle are all things that are close to hand.
I love stamping & I may not be the best colorist in the world but I do find it so relaxing, my favourite stamps are Angelica, Humphrey & I do have a rather large collection of now neglected Magnolia stamps.
This is my 2nd year on the Crafter’s Companion Design team. I had added some cards to Facebook & I received a message from Leann inviting me to join the amazing ladies – I did take a while to answer, due to jumping up & down with excitement & then panicking I wouldn’t be any good but I accepted & it has been 1 of the best things! I have met some really lovely ladies online & also at Craftaganza & I am just on countdown until October when we can do it all again!”
1) “Made with Angelia & Friends stamp, Core’dinations, embossing folder, flowers & Ribbon. Colored with Spectrum Noirs. As soon as I saw this stamp I wanted to color it & nothing else I just love it! I was tempted to go with pink but I think we are just programmed to think ballerinas are pink, I love the pale turquoise & think she looks so lovely in this color.”
2) “Made using Party Paws CD Rom, embossing folder, ribbon & a few embellishments from the Party Paws Hunkydory embellishments. ANYTHING with Bamboo is my absolute fave! Now every new release I say this is my fave then another comes along & I say no this is but right now I am SURE Party Paws is my all time fave!!! I just adore this little Panda.
I like so many others craft in a right mess, so my 1 tip is at least have an organised mess, my desk might look like a bomb site but I can always find exactly what I’m looking for on it, cant always be said about my very organised stamps – strange!!!!”
We’re so glad Caroline said yes to Leann’s invitation and shares her gorgeous work with us!
