Introducing Fiona Clayton!

We’re welcoming a new member to our family here at CCHQ… please say hello to Fiona Clayton! You may recognize her name and work as a member of Sheena Douglass’ ‘Inkoid’ design team! Fiona will be joining us as the Creative Development Officer and TV Guest Presenter.

Sara shared: “We are really thrilled to have Fiona join our TV team as she is the perfect personality to help crafters of all levels of experience given her love and passion for crafting.

“Given how lovely she is and how much craft plays a role in her every day life, I just know Fiona is going to be a massive hit with our fabulous customers. We can’t wait for her to be on-air so everyone can see her live in person.”

Aside from guest presenting, Fiona’s role as Creative Development Officer will involve her supporting Leann with product development projects and identifying new items for crafters.

We asked her to share a bit about herself. Here’s what she said:

“I was always a “crafty kid”; I enjoyed playing with paints, drawing, making things and generally getting messy! In 2009 I found paper crafting and I was utterly hooked! I no longer have a spare room – it’s my craft den and I like nothing better than to escape and colour, create or paint – honestly days could be lost when I am in my crafty zone!

I remember first seeing Crafter’s Companion and Sheena shows on Create and Craft and, well, my life was never the same again! Amongst my very first crafty purchases was a 3 Birds card-making kit bought to the UK by Crafter’s Companion and Sheena’s Paint Fusion kit. Since then I have had a few cards printed in magazines (which is just THE most amazing buzz!) and run my own craft stall occasionally at a local event complete with handmade cards and painted vases of course!

In 2011 I was so privileged to be invited by Sheena Douglass to join here trusty band of “Inkoids” (AKA Sheena’s Design Team) She is exceedingly talented person and this totally amazing group has been such a source of joy and inspiration. This year I was also lucky enough to become an accredited Crafter’s Companion Craft demonstrator – such a wonderful experience!

It is fair to say that crafting is my passion and joy and now, amazingly my job too!!! I truly cannot believe it and HAVE NOT stopped smiling since!! It is a dream comes true to be working with Crafters Companion – such an incredible group of people – so warm, welcoming and supportive and totally commented to giving customers what they want. I really am unbelievably lucky to have been given this opportunity. I am both extremely excited and nervous as I face all these wonderful new challenges!”
