This week we’re pleased to share a bit more about Design Team member Laine Webb, who is on our International Inspiration team as well as the Spectrum Noir Design Team.
Here’s what she shared:
“I have turned into a compulsive card-maker over the last few years. My passions are paper construction projects and colouring with my Spectrum Noir products. I have been a Design Team Member for some fabulous Challenge Blogs and have had several Guest Designer spots for various Companies and Challenges.
I was delighted to be approached and asked to join Crafter’s Companion in May 2013, as a member of the Design Team and then joining the Crafter’s Companion International Inspiration Design Team in 2014.
It was such an honour to be asked to join the Design Team for Spectrum Noir in October 2013. I love colouring with my Spectrum Noir markers and now the wonderful Spectrum Noir pencils/AquaTints and Spectum Noir Aqua markers.
I am looking forward to creating with the new Crafter’s Companion products soon to be launched. It’s so exciting to view all of the new ranges and to get the wonderful opportunity to design/create with such quality products.”
Here is how Laine answered a few of our questions about crafting:
Do you have a project you would love to make but haven’t yet? There is such a lot of crafting inspiration available on the internet and so many projects on my to do list.
What is your favourite type of project to make? Cards, Altered art 3D cards, shaped cards, boxes etc …. I mostly make cards but really enjoy making paper-craft construction projects.
Do you have a favourite colour palette to use ? I have been looking through my recent card creations and I tend to favour the lilac/blue shades. Colour is so exciting to work and I like to create in all colour shades and tones.
What is your favourite Crafter’s Companion product? It has to be my Spectrum Noir markers. I also love my Big Score Board and all of the wonderful cutting dies that CC make. The paper/card range available is fabulous. I could go on and on!
When you colour stamped images do you prefer to use Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, coloured pencils, or the Spectrum Aqua watercolour markers? When I colour I like to use my Spectrum Noir markers with some Spectrum Noir pencil detail, to make the image pop! I love to colour with my Spectrum Aqua markers and am enjoying exploring the world of watercolour.
What would you love to learn to do/use? I would like to become more diverse in my use of colouring mediums, improving my watercolour skills and explore mixed media creation.
What’s your favourite card fold to use? There are so many now and more being designed all the time, by clever crafters. For adding extra detail to a card I love easel and gate-fold card construction.
