If you loved Sheena Douglass’ first Create A Flower launch then you are going to want to check out the new additions to the range.
To recreate Donna’s project, you will need:
White Embossing powder
Beads of your choice
Start by cutting six of the largest and six of the medium sized petals out of Sheena stamping card.
Then stamp and emboss with white Embossing powder your six medium sized petals. The best way to stamp the petals is to ink up the stamp and then lay the die cut image on top pressing firmly.
Now scribble some colour from your Aqua Pens onto your craft mat and put a small drop of Glycerin onto your mat as well. Then using some blending foam pick up a bit of the Glycerin and work it in other the foam a little, then pick up some of your colour and blend onto your petals.
Once you’ve coloured all your stamped and embossed petals, just give them a little wipe to take any excess colour off the white Embossing.
Repeat the same colouring process with the larger leaves but when you’ve applied the colour flick a little water onto the petals, leave a few seconds and then blot with some tissue to create a few faux bleached areas. Snip in between the petals with a pair of scissors and shape slightly.
To assemble the flower take three of the larger petals and place to form a triangle, use the circles at the base of each petal to glue using Tacky glue.
Then glue your other three petals in the spaces between the first set of petals. Assembling the flowers like this helps to get your spacing of the petals correct.
Repeat the process with your smaller petals.
Now simply glue your two layers together
There are centres for the flowers included in the range but if you want to give a glitzy centre to your flower then put a large blob of 3d glue gel in the middle of the flower.
Then put some beads of your choice over the glue gel and gently press and form into a smooth rounded shape.
Make sure you check out Sheena’s range now and share your own makes with us via social media!
