Congratulations die-cut card

Crafter's Companion – 16/04/19

While there are plenty of cards out there on the market, nothing quite shows you care like a homemade card. Say “congratulations” to the successful people in your life with this beautiful card, featuring a die-cut window that really opens!

You could pop a photo of your recipient behind the window or create your own little scene. Follow the steps below to put the card together, then embellish to your taste!

You will need:

Step 1

Create a card base from Ivory Centura Pearl measuring 5.25″ x 6.75″. Cover the front with a piece of patterned card, leaving a small border on the outer edges.

Step 2

Cut a piece of Roaring 20s card to 5.5″ x 6.75″ and on the shorter side, score at 0.5″ and 5″. Emboss this with the Cut and Emboss Folder.

Step 3

Using King Gold Gilding Wax, gild the raised area on your embossed pattern. Add the red liner tape to the half inch tabs at the edges of your embossed card.

Step 4

Cut a piece of patterned card from the pack featuring a Twenties Lady to 4.25″ x 6.75″ (slightly smaller than your embossed piece). Attach the embossed piece to this card using the taped tabs to make a bow front.

Step 5

Adhere your bow front to your base card. Stamp a sentiment and add under the die cut window.

Step 6

Fussy cut the cluster of flowers from your patterned card, ink the edges and adhere to your card with 3D Glue Gel. Push forward the die-cut flowers on your embossed panel and finish with gems.

This exquisite card is sure to be loved by any recipient. You could even switch up the sentiment to make this a birthday, wedding or anniversary card! We can’t wait to see what you come up with, so be sure to share your creations with us on FacebookTwitter or Instagram using the hashtag #crafterscompanion.
