Looking for Build-A-Block Curve inspiration? You’ve come to the right place! We’ve put together some images, info, hints and tips about the Build-A-Block Curves series, so you’ll be able to get your creative patchwork and quilting juices flowing!
Quilting and patchwork has never been easier than with the Gemini Build-A-Block Systems. Curves are notoriously difficult to cut by hand, so let the Build-a-Block Curves dies do all the work for you!
With a simple pass through the Gemini die-cutting machine or any other compatible die-cutting machine, you can cut through your fabric and see perfect results every time. Simply place the die with the blade side facing upwards on to your cutting plate. Add your chosen fabric on top, then sandwich the whole thing with another cutting plate. Slowly roll this through your die-cutting machine and you’ll be left with a crisp cut out!
These 1.5mm Multi Media dies are capable of cutting through multiple layers of fabric at once, so you’ll have a whole world of quilting and patchwork opportunities at your fingertips! This means that the process of cutting out your fabric is much quicker than using a rotary cutter, so you’ll have more time to focus on stitching and embellishing your project to perfection.
This system comes with a set of instructions and a block guide, so even if you’re a total beginner in quilting and patchwork, you’ll have all the help you could possibly need. You can also find plenty of additional block patterns on our website!
The four designs are:
Bay Leaf – includes rounded corners and almond shapes
Winding Ways – includes quarter circles, rounded corners and rounded triangles
Rob Peter to Pay Paul – includes rounded four-point star shapes and half almond shapes
Drunkard’s Path – includes quarter circles and squares with inverted, rounded corners
If you’d like a bit more of an idea about how these dies work or the kinds of things you can create with them, take a look at the video below. This is a brilliant demo of the Winding Ways set!
