Pretty poppies with Spectrum Noir Water-Reactive Inkpads

Crafter's Companion – 11/07/19

Spectrum Noir Inkpads are perfect for all of your stamping and colouring projects! Within the range, our Harmony Water-Reactive Dye Inkpads are the perfect solutions for blending and distressing colour. They’re slow-drying and easy to re-work with water for a huge range of stunning blended distress effects. They will give you a bold, punchy colour with an extra-long ‘open time’ for blending, diffusing, and reworking!

Learn a fun technique with our inkpads in this tutorial from design team member Jo McKelvey! She uses her Harmony inkpads, to create a beautiful background and to add a punch of colour! See how she did it by following the steps below.

You will need:

Step 1

Cover the entire piece of watercolour card with Seal Brown using a blending tool.

Step 2

Spritz with water and pat dry with kitchen towel.

Step 3

Stamp your image on to the dry card base.

Step 4

Splodge some Chinese Red ink on to your glass mat. Use a damp brush to pick up colour and paint your image.

Step 5

Repeat Step 4 with additional colours to finish the flowers. Here, Bordeaux and Grasshopper provide the perfect shades.

Step 6

Using a wet brush, splodge some clouds in the top area of the card and pat dry. Then assemble your card as desired!
