This pretty pink, floral thank you card – created by Terri Koszler – is just gorgeous! Follow the steps below to create your own!
You Will Need:
- White stamping card
- 6″x6″ card blank
- Matt black cardstock
- Distressing tool
- Harmony Opaque Pigment ink pads: Pink Tulip, Fuchsia, Plum Jam, Spring Meadow, Noir Black
- Summer Garden stamp set
- Essential Sentiments stamp set
- Clear embossing powder
- Blending tool
- Heat tool
- Gemini die-cutting and embossing machine
- Gemini Geometric Decor embossing folder
- Red liner tape
- Collall 3D glue gel
- Petroleum jelly
Working on a piece of 5.5”x5.5” stamping card, use some petroleum jelly to make a few random marks – this will act as a resist for the next step.
Tap some ink onto your craft mat and spritz with water. Use a brayer to mix the water and ink, then roll the brayer across the card in a smooth movement. Use a piece of kitchen paper to wipe the card – this removes any excess petroleum jelly and makes your background more vibrant.
Use a distressing tool or the edge of your scissors to distress the edge of your brayered background.
Mat this onto a piece of black card measuring 5.75” x 5.75”.
Take a piece of stamping card and cut to measure 4.5” x 4.5” using the Pink Tulip, Fuchsia and Plum Jam ink pads and a blending tool create an ombre effect. Use you heat tool to dry the ink.
Run the ombred background through your Gemini with the Geometric Décor embossing folder.
Matt this onto black card measuring 4.75” x 4.75”.
Next use the Pink Tulip and Spring Meadow ink pads to stamp flowers and leaves from the Summer Garden stamp set. I used the Fuchsia ink pad along with a wet brush to colour the flowers. The best way to do this is to tap some ink onto a craft mat and take a wet brush to the ink. Once dry, fussy cut around the flowers and leaves.
Using the Thank you stamp from the Essentials Sentiments stamp set and some Noir Black ink, stamp onto some white stamping card, and then add clear embossing powder and heat set. Cut the sentiment using an oval die.
To adhere the pieces together use Collall All Purpose for the base layer, red liner tape behind the embossed panel and Collall 3D Glue Gel to add the sentiment and floral images.
