Welcome to the first of our Birthday Week projects! These have been designed to help you get the most out of your free gifts and provide a little bit of inspiration.
For day one, we’re talking about the Spring Gardens 3D Embossing Folder, which you’re able to get your hands on today (October 17th) if you spend over £10 on the site. This is a gorgeous folder with beautiful poppy-like flowers that practically jump out of the design!
Take a look through this post to see how to create a card like the one below, plus an extra suggestion of how to use the folder at the end!
You will need:
- Spring Gardens 3D Embossing Folder (free gift)
- Matt Black Cardstock
- Crafter’s Companion White Stamping Card
- Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Inkpad in Noir Black
- Stamp set from issue 22 of Crafter’s Inspiration
- Spectrum Noir Opaque Pigment Inkpad in Noir Black
- Spectrum Noir Water Reactive Inkpad in Red Berry
- Ribbon and sequins
- Collall All Purpose Glue
- Collall 3D Glue Gel
Cut a 4.5″ x 6.62″ piece of Stamping Card.
Open the 3D Embossing Folder and add the Red Berry Inkpad directly on to the design. Place your Stamping Card inside and run this through your Gemini to emboss.
Add a little Noir Black Opaque Pigment ink to the centre of the embossed flowers.
Wrap some black ribbon around the left hand side of the card and secure from behind.
Matt this panel on to some black card cut to 4.75″ x 6.75″, and add to a 5″ x 7″ card base, created from Stamping Card.
Add the sentiment using the stamp set from issue 22 of Crafter’s Inspiration magazine by dipping the stamp into the Noir Black Alcohol Proof Inkpad. Add this to your card using the 3D Glue Gel.
Glue on black sequins to complete the card.
