Stocking shaker card

Crafter's Companion – 16/12/19

By now, we hope that you’ve all finished your Christmas cardmaking, but there’s no harm in getting some inspiration for next year, right? For today’s project, we’re sharing this adorable stocking shaker card that’s so effective, but so simple to make! Just follow the steps below to recreate this creative card, or try mixing up the product list to add your own twist.

You will need:

Step 1

To create the base card, cut 10″ x 6″ Rose Gold Centura Pearl, the score and fold at 3.5″. Cut another piece of Rose Gold Centura Pearl to 11″ x 3.5″ and score at 5.5″, then fold in half. Turn the card over so that the folded edge is on the right hand side.

Step 2

Decorate the card bases to your liking used the Kraft card, cream card and Winter’s Tale papers, then fix the smaller card on to the middle of the larger card so that the two overlap.

Step 3

To make the shaker, cut the inner and outer dies together from Cherry Centura Pearl. Form the frame by placing shaker tape around the edges.

Step 4

Cut the two large dies from Centura Pearl and one from acetate. Use red liner tape all around the frame of the stocking, then place the acetate over, then place the foam tape.

Step 5

Add your chosen sequins inside the shaker, then place the remaining large die-cut on top of the shaker foam to form a shield. This stops the sequins from escaping! Then use other embellishments from the die set to decorate.

Step 6

Stamp your sentiment on to the card base, then add a small piece of paper from the Poinsettia Perfection Pad as a flap and adhere the shaker on the left hand side.
