Gift Bag Tutorial
1. Cut two pieces of white card to 6” x 7”. On each piece, score at 1” and 5” along the 6” side, then rotate once and score at 1” along the 7” side. Use a bone folder to reinforce all of the score lines.
2. On one of the pieces, cut small notches into the two bottom corner squares, and on the other piece, remove both bottom corner squares completely.
3. Next, cut two pieces of patterned paper to 3⅞” x 5⅞” and adhere them to the front and back of your bag.
4. Using silver card and your die-cutting machine, create two handles with the 3” and 2½” nesting circle dies. Then take the smaller die, position it halfway over the top edge of both the front and back bag panels, centred, and run them through your machine to create the openings. Adhere the silver handles around each opening.
5. To assemble the bag, begin at the bottom by gluing the two small flaps to the bottom panel. Take the piece where you removed the corner squares and glue it over the first piece to complete the base, then apply glue up the side tabs and seal both sides. Your bag is now complete and ready to decorate.
Gift Tag Tutorial
1. Using the Retro Christmas paper and the Stitched Edge Tag dies, cut out a tag with you die-cutting machine.
2. Next, take the Candy Cane and Ho Ho Ho die sets, along with the red, green and white coloured card, and use your die-cutting machine to cut all of the decorative elements.
3. Adhere the decorations to the front of the tag using Collall All Purpose Glue. Attach the finished tag to the gift bag with foam pads, and complete your tag by adding a few gems.
