The festive season brings so many moments to be grateful for, and what better way to share that appreciation than with a handmade Christmas Thank You Card? This simple DIY project is a heartfelt way to acknowledge thoughtful gifts, festive gatherings, or acts of kindness during the holidays. In this step-by-step tutorial, we’ll guide you through creating a beautiful, personalised card that adds an extra touch of cheer to your seasonal thank-yous.

What you'll need:

Blush pink linen cardstock for layers

6×6 paper pad

Topper pad

Special effects card stock

Iridescent ribbon

CC Multipurpose white card

CC Pastel pearl drops

Paper trimmer

CC craft knife

Collall AP glue / CC tape runner

CC Vintage diary tag die

2 × Hexagon dies – 1 smaller than the other

CC Say It With Style sentiment stamps

Thank You Card Tutorial:

1. Create the Card Base by cutting a piece of pink cardstock to 4.5" × 6.5" to form your card base.

2. Build the Background Layers by trimming a piece of blush pink linen card slightly smaller than the card front and adhere it in place.

3. Cut your plaid-patterned paper to leave a narrow border, then glue it centrally on top of the linen layer.

4. Mat the floral topper panel onto blush pink linen card, then onto pastel pink card, leaving thin borders around each layer.

5. On the back of this layered panel, apply a thin line of glue along three sides only—leaving the top edge unglued, positioning the pocket on the card front, creating an opening at the top for your tag.

6. Now, add the topper by placing the gift box topper in the centre of the pocket panel using foam pads for dimension.

7. Die-cut a larger hexagon from glitter cardstock.

8. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto white card, cut it out with the smaller hexagon die, then layer it onto the glitter piece.

9. Attach the layered sentiment to the card front with foam pads and add the floral topper to the bottom-left corner using foam pads.

10. To make the tag, die-cut a tag from multipurpose white cardstock and stamp a sentiment in the centre.

11. Decorate the tag with a strip of patterned paper and small embellishments.

12. Tie a piece of ribbon through the top of the tag and slide the finished tag into the opening of the square pocket.

13. To finish your card, add pastel pearl drops for a soft, elegant look.

Your Christmas Thank You Card is now complete—a beautiful blend of soft colours, layered textures, and thoughtful handmade details. This pocket-style design not only adds a charming interactive element but also gives you space to share a heartfelt message of gratitude.
