How to Make Your Wedding Invitations

Step 1: Create the Card Base

Cut a piece of blue cardstock to 7¼" × 10½". Score along the long side at 5¼" and fold in half to form your card base.

Step 2: Add the Decorative Flap

Cut another piece of blue cardstock to 7½" × 5". Score at ½" along the short side to create a tab.
Position the Vintage Envelope die just before the score line and secure with low-tack tape. Run it through your Gemini machine.

Attach this piece to the front of your card, gluing the tab neatly on the inside.

Step 3: Create the Inner Pocket

Cut a third piece of blue cardstock to 4½" × 5¼".
Position the die ½" up from the longer edge and run it through your machine to create a lace-edged pocket.

Adhere this piece inside your card using tacky glue, applying adhesive only along the outer edges to form a functional pocket.

Step 4: Prepare the Invitation Insert

Print your wedding invitation and trim to size.
Mat and layer it onto silver glitter cardstock for a touch of sparkle and elegance.

Step 5: Assemble Your Invitation

Glue the main invitation to the centre of the card.
Place your RSVP or additional details card inside the pocket for a beautifully organised finish.

Top Tips for a Professional Finish

Hide the seams: Always glue the lace-cut tab on the inside for a clean, seamless look.

Test your fold: If your card feels bulky, trim a small amount from the pocket side of your insert so it folds neatly.

Keep it coordinated: Match your cardstock and glitter accents to your wedding colour scheme for a cohesive design.

Batch make with ease: Create all your die-cut elements in one go to save time when making multiple invitations.
