Be transported to a world of magic and fantastical creatures with the ethereal artist, Molly Harrison. Specialising in mystical imagery and characters, you can expect this collection to be packed full of enchanting and otherworldly looks. We absolutely can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful stamp designs that she has created for us, but before that, we’d like to introduce you to Molly and her wonderful, mystical style!
Who is Molly Harrison?
The lovely Molly lives in the northern California valley, overlooking a beautiful canyon that is teeming with wildlife, which helps to inspire her artwork. She has been an artist for as long as she can remember and loved nothing more than doodling, painting, drawing and writing as a child. Because of this, she’s gone on to become an incredible creator with her very own unique style.
What kind of artwork can we expect from Molly?
Molly is a huge fan of all things fantasy, so her artwork mainly focuses around enchanting beings and scenes. We know how much you like a good fairy or mermaid, and that’s exactly the type of imagery that you can expect to see. With exceptional detail, elegant figures and sensational scenery, her artwork is sure to capture everyone’s imagination and inspire their next creation. Just take a look at the photo above and the gallery in this post to see just how gorgeous her artwork is!
Where does Molly get her inspiration?
Inspiration can strike from anywhere at any time, but Molly particularly loves being in nature. There’s just something about a good woodland or a body of water that gets the inspiration cogs turning. She’s also inspired by her own emotions and expresses herself through her artwork, as well as crafting on the side. Like many other artists, she also draws inspiration from her favourite creators too!
Which mediums does Molly like to use?
As a self-confessed doodler from a young age, Molly draws up all of her designs by hand, releasing all of the magical imagery from her head. To add colour to her images, she particularly likes using watercolours and inks, but she’s partial to acrylic paint too. She also enjoys leaving her artwork blank for people to fill in through her colouring books!
How many stamp sets are available?
In our collaboration with Molly, we’re releasing eight different stamp designs, including:
Fairytale of Dreams – features a princess, a pumpkin-style carriage and swirling hair, creating a spellbinding effect
A Summer Day – an adorable fairy perched on a toadstool, with sprouting flowers and delicate butterflies
Sea of Bubbles – features a magnificent mermaid surrounded by bubbles and tendrils of swirling hair
Hearts – includes a beautifully windswept fairy with ornate wings and wisps of hair whipping in the breeze
Lily of Love – focuses on a pretty flower fairy peering over her shoulder and nestling in amongst the flowers and butterflies
Marta’s Garden – features a beautiful tree fairy sitting high up in a branch surrounded by a floor of flourishing flowers
Poppies of Amethyst – includes a majestic fairy princess releasing a butterfly and walking through the flowers
Sultry Sue – features a delicate flower fairy with swirling skirts and towering flowers
Each set comes complete with a main panel image, plus a selection of embellishments and sentiments, so you can create a complete design with just one set.
What are the stamps made of?
Each of these stamp sets are created from photopolymer, which is known for its quality over acrylic. You’re guaranteed a much crisper and cleaner image, so you’ll be able to see every single detail from these stamps in the prints that you create. They’re also clear, which means that you’ll be able to line up the stamps accurately with a Rock-a-Block or a Stamping Platform!
We hope that this little post has got you inspired and excited for our work with Molly Harrison!
