Tutorial: Summer Festival card

It’s official summer is here! With summer comes the music festivals and hopefully not the rain! As the summer festivals are in full swing, let’s get in the party mood with this topical easel card. Laney shows you how she made this card in her step by step tutorial below so that you can make one too for you music loving friends and family!

Step 1. Score and fold 6″ x 6″ card blank and cut 6″ x 6″ piece of card3

Step 2. Print off the free download papers for June 2016 you will find them on the website in the downloadable section for members!

Step 3. Stamp using the Rock star stamps with Memento ink directly onto the spotted backing paper and trim to fit the cut white card stock

Step 4. Cut and trim star paper to fit base of easel card then Cut 2 piece 4″ x 6″ and score at ½ inch intervals

Step 5. Fold scored pieces and add Double sided tape to the join on the underneath.

Step 6. Add to the main card then repeat on the other side.

Step 7. Using String and striped paper make some bunting to add to your project, using wet glue

This can now be added to your easel card .
Now we need a stopper on the base of your easel card so it will stand correctly

Step 8. Cut a piece of white cardstock 6 x 2.5 and score at ½ inch intervals, fold an stick to make a cube then add your stamped image to this

Step 9. This can now be added to the base of the easel card along with your sentiment

Step 10. This Easel card has dimension but is able to fold flat for postage.
