Getting messy with local schools!

We’re finally feeling ‘at home’ in our new HQ and town! The Community has been so welcoming and we’re loving the new location!

Sugarhill School, a local primary school, held a competition and the Winners got to visit our store yesterday to celebrate their ‘Art Week’.

We absolutely LOVE to see the younger generate getting into crafting, no matter how messy, it’s great to fuel imaginations and find mini Picasso’s in the making! This is exactly what we had in mind when we build a demo area in the store!

The school are hosting a Carnival on the 8th July, following a Rio theme to celebrate the Olympics. Winners attended a class on painting and decorating MDF animals, they will sell their creations, next week, at the carnival to raise money for the school.

Today, our Assistant Store Manager Amy and Store Assistant Sarah have gone to the school to hold a class with the older students (9-11 year olds) and will be making games and snack packs to sell at the Carnival too.

To top it all off….(this is the exciting bit) we’ve been invited too! We’ll be doing Make & Takes with the kids at the Carnival too and will get in with the Rio spirit!
